There are about 280 open sports venues in Taipei Riverside Parks. The venues cover a wide area which is currently maintained and managed by the venue managers of the Department of Sports, site inspection vendors, cleaning vendors, night lighting repair vendors and fence vendors. It is hoped that by installing smart cameras in the open sports venues of riverside and embankment parks, the management can accurately monitor the safety and use status of the venues. By logging into the specialized App, the administrators or personnel in charge will be able to check the real-time status of the venues, and dispatch personnel to handle problems if necessary, which improves the service quality and creates a safe and user-friendly sports environment.

This field experiment is a collaboration with Taiwan Shin Kong Security. The surveillance system can identify the images of people and automatically record them and can be accessed for viewing through its App. All relevant video data are stored in the cloud, indeed, the system is also well-equipped with automatic surveillance and reporting mechanism.
