With the advent of the digital age, people's access to the Internet is increasing day by day, and public Wi-Fi services are also used by numerous users to develop large advertising opportunities. In view of this, Taipei City Government actively seeks a win-win service model for the industry and the public. It uses the Kiosk, which can play multimedia information, as a wireless network hotspot to provide free Internet access for citizens and domestic and non-domestic tourists. In addition, the large-scale display is mounted on Kiosk. More information on municipal services and tourism activities will be provided, and the revenue from its commercial advertisements can also be used as a source of funding for this public service to achieve sustainable development.

This multimedia information station also provides value-added services such as mobile charging, map inquiry, environmental information notification, etc. The initial phase of the project will use the Taipei Xinyi Commercial District as a PoC field, and it is expected to promote the creation of a new type of business service model in the future and extended to every major commercial district in Taipei. It is hoped that the government and industry will work together to provide a more friendly multi-information environment for the public and travelers.
