Smart Security System in Campus Toilets
- Category:Smart Education
Status:Complete Toilets have always been a blind spot of campus safety. In addition to potential bullying incidents, there have been times when criminals sneaked into campus toilets, causing harm to school children. The current adopted practices include installing cameras on fences, increasing patrol manpower, and having emergency notification bells to strengthen campus security protection. However, for toilets where cameras cannot be installed due to privacy issues, it has been difficult to find immediate and effective protection measures. In order to meet the security needs, some industry operators have developed non-optical detection systems based on millimeter wave technology, which use non-optical de-identification signals to learn of and report abnormalities in toilets. Signals are then sent to the monitoring computer system installed in the office of the student safety department and administrators' mobile phones, issuing warnings to reduce the occurrence of dangerous incidents. As the system has benefits such as protection of privacy, remote monitoring, easy installation, and resistance to temperature and humidity, the installation in toilets and the use of non-camera method to detect abnormal events to immediately notify schools' security centers can greatly enhance the campus security network.
