Dementia care requires a long period of adaptation and adjustment for caregivers in families and patients. In addition to treatments to improve or alleviate symptoms, "companionship" is a very important part of care. This trial project is supported by AIWISDOM Technology. It is a customized companion tablet tool for patients with dementia and can be used at dementia care facilities (daycare centers) and homes of dementia patients.

Caregivers provide instructions, combined with physicians' observation and courses, to guide residents who have mild dementia symptoms to operate the tablets. The tablets offer medication reminders, weather inquiries, playback of oldies, education and entertainment news, and other functions. It is hoped that after a period of interactions and companionship, the device helps patients find interests. The repeated operations and observations will determine if they offer beneficial help, and at the same time reduce caregivers' burden.
