The "Taipei Smart City 1+7 Domain Call for Proposals" for the year 110 has kicked off, calling on experts and talents from all fields to showcase innovative thinking!
The 110th year "Taipei Smart City 1+7 Domain Call for Proposals" has officially commenced! The call for proposals will run from May 3rd to May 31st, following the concept of "Government Posing Questions, Industry Solving Challenges" from the previous year (109th). Each domain has put forth demands and invited industries to provide innovative solutions, including intelligent positioning at the scene of traffic accidents, AI analysis and coordination of joint-operated buses, and small hydropower systems. Industry experts are invited to put their minds together to meet the project needs of various bureaus under the Taipei City Government. A total of 15 cases have been proposed in this event. For instance, the Police Department has proposed "Intelligent Positioning at the Scene of Traffic Accidents," hoping to use technologies such as LiDAR, 3D photography, image stitching, and computer computation to create complete graphical data from accident photos and restore the scene's positioning. The Public Transportation Office aims to utilize "AI Analysis and Coordination of Joint-Operated Buses" to provide advance warnings, real-time notifications, and post-improvement mechanisms through AI computation, reducing the occurrence of joint-operated bus bunching and providing citizens with fair and stable bus services. Additionally, the Industry Development Bureau is planning the "Small Hydropower System" to test the feasibility and reliability of small hydropower generation technology in a real-world environment and gather operational data for analysis of power generation efficiency, among other aspects. The Taipei City Government Information Bureau, through the "Taipei Smart City 1+7 Domain Call for Proposals," collaborates with private entities, expert scholars, and city government agencies to drive industrial innovation and align with the needs of the city's governance. The results of the trial projects will serve as a basis for the city government's policies. Last year's call for proposals successfully matched 36 projects, and this year, they hope to link even more innovative applications to accelerate the development of Taipei City as a smart city.
