2020 Smart Taipei Innovation Award Exhibition Highlighting Achievements
The "Taipei Smart City Industry Field Empirical PoC Program" organized by the City Government over these years has successfully promoted many innovative trial projects, where industry operators propose to collaborate with government agencies free of charge to drive innovation and industry development in Taipei City. In order to encourage companies to propose trial projects and promote Taipei's smart city initiative, the annual innovation demo award campaign select quality trial projects for the year, issue awards and host exhibitions, hoping that the "Taipei Smart City Industry Field Empirical PoC Program" can bring more innovative applications to Taipei City. The 2020 Smart Taipei Innovation Award selects quality trial projects for 2020 and after two rounds of reviews which use the completeness of scenarios in the projects, implementation status, innovativeness, and others as the grading indicators, picks out 5 projects for the award of excellence and 10 for the award of merit, a total of 15 winning teams. The 2020 Smart Taipei Innovation Award exhibition is held on the first floor of the Taipei City Hall Building from March 18 to 25, 2021. The exhibitors include the 5 winners of the award of excellence, Turing Drive participating in the empirical project of an autonomous bus on Xinyi Road, AREC providing smart funeral services, SmartWay developing real-time roadside scooter management, BiDaE Technology consolidating indoor navigation applications, and Reddoor Media developing commercial site detection, monitoring and forecasting, and 10 winners of award of merit. The exhibition showcases the excellent results of the smart city concept and encourages companies to continue their participation in the city's innovation. The event attracts more than 500 visitors, who also leave their feedback. The exhibition comes to a fruitful end, as it also attracts many Taipei residents and civil servants from the City Government of Taipei. Mayor Ko and secretary-general Chen also visit the exhibition to appreciate the excellent results, together cheering for the innovation and progress of Taipei City.
