SMARTCITY TAIPEI

The 5th PIXNET HACKATHON in 2018 will take place on August 18th and 19th at the National Taiwan University Sports Center! This year, there are two major competition themes: "IoT Voice Context Applications" and "AI Smart Image Generation."

The event is co-organized by Taipei City Government's Department of Information Technology, Department of Transportation, Taipei Smart City Project Management Office, and New Taipei City Department of Transportation. They have collaborated to provide open transportation data and have established the "Green Transport Application Award" as an additional category in the competition.

The aim is to encourage creative ideas and smart lifestyle solutions through the exchange of resources and technology from industry, government, and academia. With a strong judging panel and no registration fee, talented participants from all fields are welcome to challenge themselves and contribute to the realization of a "Smart Life for All"!

On July 17th, there will be a special "IoT Hardware and Software Integration Skills" workshop to impart IoT integration skills for faster hands-on experience. Moreover, the "Taipei Smart City Project Management Office" will introduce the open domains in Taipei's smart city project, and excellent teams will have the opportunity for potential collaborations, allowing the technological achievements to yield even greater value! The event has limited slots, so free registration is encouraged.

The first stage of registration for the 5th PIXNET HACKATHON ends on July 20th. Each team is limited to 3 to 6 members. Feel free to join the PIXNET HACKATHON fan page to recruit team members and participate together!
