The "2021 Taipei Smart City Innovation Award" registration has been extended until December 31st, welcoming relevant businesses to seize this opportunity and actively participate!
The "2021 Taipei Smart City Innovation Award" competition is now open for registration, aiming to select outstanding trial projects of the year. In order to encourage more projects to participate, the submission deadline has been extended until December 31st of this year. We welcome relevant businesses to seize this opportunity and participate actively! Since 2016, the Taipei City Government has been implementing the "Taipei Smart City Industry Field Experiment PoC Program," successfully promoting numerous innovative trial cases and accelerating the development of Taipei City as a smart city. To encourage the participation of various municipal agencies' relevant PoC projects, as well as businesses and academic research institutions' efforts in innovative applications in the city, the "Taipei Smart City Innovation Award" was launched in 2020 to select outstanding trial projects of the year, awarding prizes and incentives to selected companies as a form of encouragement. Participating entities can follow the guidelines set forth in the "2021 Taipei Smart City Innovation Award Application Guidelines" to fill out the registration application form and submit the relevant documents. These documents should be sent to the organizing committee via email. The organizing committee will invite relevant domain experts to conduct the evaluation. The evaluation process consists of two stages: document review and presentation review. During the document review, the evaluation committee will examine the submitted written materials and select the shortlisted projects. The shortlisted projects will then proceed to the presentation review, where the participating companies will give physical presentations and answer questions from the evaluation committee. Based on this presentation, the evaluation committee will score and select the top-quality projects of the year. The results of the event are scheduled to be announced on the organizing committee's official website by the end of March 2022. The winning projects will be awarded prizes and incentives, and they will also have the opportunity to participate in the annual showcase event organized by the Taipei City Government's Information Bureau in May 2022. Additionally, selected projects will receive media coverage through in-depth interviews. The "2021 Taipei Smart City Innovation Award" aims to encourage participants engaged in innovative initiatives supported by the Taipei City Government and enhance the promotion of the city's achievements in promoting smart city initiatives. The goal is to foster collaboration between the city government and businesses, academia, and research institutions to build a more livable and sustainable Taipei.
