"Taipei Xinyi Road Bus Lane Self-driving Bus Innovation Experimental Project" is a joint collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Taipei City Government, and Taiwan Smart Driving Co., Ltd., hoping to fill the night public transportation gap and solve the problem of insufficient public transportation driving manpower. .

The self-driving bus route connects the commercial districts of Taipei City’s Xinyi, Tonghua, Yongkang, and Taipei Main Station. It is the only area in Taiwan that has opened self-driving bus testing in commercial districts. Its self-driving section is 8.5 kilometers long in both directions, passing through 19 intersections and intersections. 27 bus shelters. In the first year of the experimental plan, self-driving buses successfully completed the high-precision map-assisted positioning, signal information interface and red light stop, bus shelters for passengers at stops, and 5G technology integration verification projects. Improve the accuracy requirements of self-driving buses in terms of positioning, speed, and signal recognition. The "Taipei Xinyi Road Bus Dedicated Self-Driving Bus Innovation Experimental Project" is a collaboration between Taiwan Smart Driving Company, Tituo Hongyu, Chuangyi Energy, Yizhao Green Energy, Xingchuang Zhineng, Asahi Computer, and Metropolitan Passenger Transport. To verify the self-driving technology and service model, it is one of the few domestic self-driving teams with 100% system independent research and development, and nearly 70% of the domestic hardware self-manufacturing rate. At each stage, operators from all fields are invited to join the experimental platform to jointly practice technology and business models.
