The National Development Council (NDC) has initiated the "Subsidy Program for Promoting 5G and Artificial Intelligence in Innovative IoT Applications for Smart Cities and Towns". The program encourages domestic enterprises to adopt 5G or combine artificial intelligence with AIoT (AI of Things) technology within the country. By integrating these technologies into local domains, the aim is to drive cross-domain innovative application services and accelerate the integration of 5G vertical applications.

Enterprises are invited to propose intelligent exhibitions, intelligent transportation, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent healthcare, or applications in other domains that comply with the overall solution framework of 5G open networks. During the subsidy period, the completion of service verification (PoS) or higher achievements is required. The acceptance period for applications is from now until July 2, 110 (2021).
