National Chengchi University students participate! Course results exhibited at the end of the semester show a new height of cross-border cooperation
In cooperation with the Taipei Smart City Project Management Office (TPMO) and the Department of Public Administration of National Chengchi University, TPMO provides case materials, case ideas, and implementation processes for the city's ongoing Smart City Proof-of-Concept (PoC) content to move forward on campus research, analyze and discuss with teachers and students, and let students select topics from the case for research, including projects such as iTrash, smart public toilets, smart street lights, smart parking, smart payment, and tracking of demented elderly.
After repeated discussions and feedback from the Department of Information Technology, schools, TPMOs, and practitioners, and guiding students to analyze problems from the perspective of user experience design, they eventually converged into the recommended practices for the six major themes. In addition, through preliminary verification of future planning and implementation suggestions, the PoC project can record the process and results of cooperation from different perspectives, and provide more reference experience for future case implementation as a nutrient for success.
This achievement not only realizes the cross-border cooperation between industry, government, and academia, and promotes smart cities together, but also enables students to engage in municipal planning and realize the spirit of civic participation and off-campus internships; At the same time, through the research and brainstorming of the students, group discussions on various projects assisted by TPMO, and the results produced will bring more feedback and suggestions to the project, and stimulate more ideas and possibilities, and also let the bureaus see more different perspectives and orientations as a reference for future policy implementation.
