In order to enhance digital services for the public, the Taipei City Government has introduced more municipal services and event information into the TaipeiPASS APP in the past two years, enabling people to access relevant information through the APP. However, when a large number of people flock to the APP at the same time, it is easy to induce the system crash or abnormal connections. Therefore, the Department of Information Technology cooperates with Master Concept to introduce a "virtual queuing system" in the TaipeiPASS APP. When a large number of people use the APP at the same time exceeding the capacity of the website, they will first be automatically directed to the "virtual queuing system" and then be redirected back to the website or APP in an open, transparent, and first-come-first-served manner, preventing system delays by optimizing the efficiency of traffic control.

This project is a collaboration between the Department of Information Technology and FANinsights, which consolidates information, analyzes data and uses peripheral tools (such as chatbots) to reinforce the interactivity of websites. Through adopting the AI technology to link websites, and conducting monitoring to generate statistics and reports, it help to identify the pages that need to be updated and keywords that should be verified. The implementation reduces internal manual operations and improves efficiency, further achieving the goal of strengthening website administration.

This test program links the Police Department, Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone Telecommunications and Taiwan Fixed Network, verifying the feasibility of replacing the original optical fiber circuits with 5G in CCTV image transmission. The verification is characterized by the high speed and low latency of the 5G network offered by the telecom operators, and it is expected to achieve high-definition image backhaul and real-time monitoring of the images. The program adopts the concept of service expansion to rapidly deploy, adjust and expand 5G network locations, reducing the construction cost of related projects such as laying optical fiber cables and excavating road surfaces. It is hoped that the empirical results verify the scientific and technological wisdom to improve the efficiency of public safety maintenance and management, and more creative talents will be inspired to commit to the applications, research and development of the Internet of Things to create new opportunities for the industry.

This project is a collaboration project between iDea Mobile Tech and the Department of Information Technology. The data removal software iMT Cleaner, independently developed by the vendor, can be used in both the iOS and Android systems to conduct encryption erasing, factory reset, data removal, system restoration, etc., ensuring zero leakage of sensitive business and personal data. After the data are cleared, the mobile phones can be reused, donated or auctioned off to achieve recycling of resources.

This trial program was proposed by iTake Inc., which integrates the city government's official document processing system, Intranet message notification system, document delivery and notification system and IoT electronic intelligent lockers to build an "IoT intelligent lockers system of official document exchange and package check." The implementation can improve the convenience of logistics of documents and items of the city government and the utilization of manpower, and further reduce the contact between personnel to lower the transmission risk of epidemic diseases.

This pilot project is a collaboration with Rhymebus Corporation and the Building Authority of Taipei City Hall. Power generation from fitness activities, energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction are realized in people's daily life. The kinetic energy generated from pedaling through "green power generation with fitness" becomes a new generation of clean energy choice. In order to make the public more aware of the value of electricity, the "green power generation with fitness" solution enables visitors to experience pedaling as a fitness exercise while waiting in the queue during their business trips to the Taipei City Hall. It will become a new type of convenience personal experience facility.

This project uses interactive technology to conduct Augmented Reality (AR) tour verification at Taipei Pass, and integrates Location Based Services (LBS) and AR so that tourists don’t need an actual tour guide when visiting Taipei Ecomuseum. Tourists just need to turn on the applied services on their mobile devices, follow the LBS navigation to go up to each exhibit and receive explanation about it in AR to improve the quality of the tour experiences; people will no longer have to go around with tour groups and worry about not being able to hear the tour guide’s voice clearly or look at the museum’s boring interpretation signs.

This trial project is a collaboration between Statecraft Technology and the Department of Information Technology. The current data sets provided by various agencies undergo feasibility assessment of incorporating blockchain into lots drawing, and the scope includes lots drawing by smart contracts, preservation of and access to lots drawing data and confirmation of the effectiveness of lots drawing. It is hoped that using the blockchain technology to create a fair and transparent lots drawing and pick out winners through unpredictable encryption, which will achieve the goals of fairness and fraud prevention.
