To realize the idea of developing a smart city, Taipei City government founded the Smart City Committee in 2015. Furthermore, the government established the Taipei Smart City Project Management Office to realize the vision of Taipei Smart City in 2016.

This trial project is a collaboration with Insto, which enables merchants to apply for accepting payment through credit cards online, eliminating the need for physical card-swiping equipment and improving merchant's payment collection efficiency. The INSTO Tap App developed by the collaborating partner converts mobile phones into a card-swiping machine through a mobile App, so that consumers can just use their physical cards for detection or swiping a code to complete payment, reducing the barrier of access to consumers.

This project is a collaboration with Jingyi Renewables Energy. It uses existing small hydropower generators to establish a simple and low-cost system suitable for various water supply ditches and pipelines. The implementation can be connected in parallel with various types of power systems to reduce the investment expenditure in equipment converting power to electricity. It is hoped that the trial can help the benefit assessment to achieve future scalable and ready-to-use installation and ready-to-use at sites.

Raygate collaborates with Taipei City Office of Commerce and proposes the use of "New media smart marketing," "Kiosk digital smart interaction machine," "Letego - OMO virtual-physical integration platform" and "Letego - Reward center" to promote the image of business districts and online-offline integration services for stores. The connection between consumers, enterprises, stores in business districts and government creates mutually beneficial cooperation and collaboration and explore digital innovation opportunities to drive the development of business districts.

During the emergence of new retail evolution, small and medium traditional retailers tend to receive the greatest impact. Limited by their scale and knowledge, they tend to be more disadvantaged in their capability and speed adopting the digital transformation, further losing competitiveness. EyesMedia collaborates with Taipei City Office of Commerce and proposes the use of "Mobii! Store Package" to offer one-stop store opening services platform. It consolidates the various digital tools needed by stores, and plans suitable functions to meet the different characteristics of business districts and stores. The project provides digital tools to stores and incorporates the user-end platform from EyesMedia to guide users to use such tools. The project also helps the stores and vendors operate the tools through the collaborations between various associations and cooperatives in the districts and markets, to resolve stores or vendors' adoption issues with the tools due to their unfamiliarity with digitization.
