In cooperation with Acer Inc. , the IoT devices are deployed in the raft foundation of buildings to establish flood detention facilities in this PoC project. These devices are equipped with management functions that can simultaneously monitor and regulate rainwater flow. In addition, the management platform built by Acer can display information, including weather forecasts, real-time rainfall totals, and flood stages in flood-prone areas. It can also improve the flood detention efficiency of the raft foundations and resolve climate-induced water shortage or flooding in real-time, achieving smart flood control.

This field experiment is a collaboration with Foxconn Global Network Corporation. The core concept is to analyze the lifetime cost of buildings and integrate the data of facilities and equipment of buildings with those of the social house cloud management platform to build a database and then manage and calculate the key elements of facilities and equipment in the long-term maintenance plans through functional modules and the cost estimation, hoping these data outputs can be used as references for decision-making.

This trial project is a collaboration with the Industrial Technology Research Institute. Smart meters are used for recording the energy consumption in public spaces and homes, and machine learning and artificial neural network are adopted to conduct dynamic analysis of energy consumption in communities to learn about the daily life patterns and energy consumption behaviors in communities. The amount of energy consumption, orientation, facade and floor of buildings and other characteristics in communities (floors) are incorporated into the analysis to find their correlation, which can help to predict residential type and conduct planning based on the data.

Taipei City social housing residents’ filing their notifications for repairs usually take “oral notification”, “filling in the repair report form in paper” and “filling in the online repair report form” approaches. If residents do not specify their problems, case handling personnel must conduct site visits in person, further increasing their workload. The use of manpower to track the progress of repair cases is prone to omissions, delays and errors. When cases are poured in and piled up at the same time, the management manpower can be overwhelmed

There are more than 400 ongoing civil construction projects in Taipei City. In order to effectively manage the progress of each project and digitize the data and improve its accuracy, this trial project incorporates the use of ICT IoT technologies to make construction sites become automatically detectable. The new generation of smart construction management models are created to achieve safe and real-time surveillance.

After the previous toilet cleaning staff are all clean and audit inspection, pick a manual mode to confirm attendance-related work is complete, several times a day cleaning work to sign an additional process, inevitably there will be gaps or inconvenience to happen. In addition, the management unit may also be because they can not grasp the real-time information about cleaning, or for manual calculation table class IT and reduce management efficiency.

Taipei City Hall is the seat of the Taipei City Government. The whole building is in a "Double Ten" shape in Chinese character. There are 12 floors above the ground and 2 floors underground. It is an open office space where about 30 Taipei City government agencies are located in. It is estimated that more than 1,000 people entering and leaving the City Hall on every weekday. Due to the large size of the City Hall building and the complexity of the people’s traffic flow, it is not always easy for the citizens or visitors to locate the destination, which creats an opportunity for the application of indoor guidance technology.
