To assist wheelchair users in route planning, navigation, and finding alternative paths to avoid obstacles, as well as locating wheelchair-friendly establishments, accessible toilets, and elevators, the Department of Transportation of Taipei City Government is collaborating with DE GUANG DIGITAL CO. LTD a program named) "Taipeiwheel" with simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) indoor positioning technology to integrate accessible facilities in Taipei City providing navigation services for tablet or smartphone users. Additionally, "Taipeiwheel" will offer optimized interface design, service experience, and service design to accurately guide wheelchair users or their caregivers to their destinations.

By leveraging SLAM positioning technology, the navigation service provided by "Taipeiwheel" can further expand and achieve the goal of inclusive societal prosperity.
