  • Category:Smart Government

Status:Complete

Previous framework for public-sector and private-sector websites was:  after completing the main website framework, the subnetwork sites (website platforms) and project websites (webpages) were then designed, making the website system grow enormously. The loading of webpages eventually became slower and slower as the hardware resource was no longer well-equippped with. Meanwhile, the functions of subnetwork sites were limited by the primary website and some webpages were even outsourced, resulting in the decoupling from the primary website. As the website platforms and webpages of public and private sectors are increasing significantly, the foregoing problems are in demand for integrated solutions.

This PoC project is a collaboration between the Department of Information Technology of the Taipei City Government and New Strategy. The experiment verifies the flexible deployment and co-structure of website platforms and the feasibility of function scalability. Taking consideration of the practice of iOS ecosystem development, the “system core development” offers its“module market” and “pattern market” for the third-party developers to jointly use, thereby through designing and verifying the joint-use mechanism , the open website ecosystem is built. The service deployment management system will establish the core control version, module and pattern markets as a dedicated agency resource database, in order to expand the development of servers and websites. As a result, each website can own an individual management database, develop its multilingual function, and link back to the core system for version upgrade.
