Due to global warming, extreme climates such as rainstorms and flooding significantly impact the environment. In the face of these emergencies, smart flood control technologies become even more critical.

In cooperation with Acer Inc. , the IoT devices are deployed in the raft foundation of buildings to establish flood detention facilities in this PoC project. These devices are equipped with management functions that can simultaneously monitor and regulate rainwater flow. In addition, the management platform built by Acer can display information, including weather forecasts, real-time rainfall totals, and flood stages in flood-prone areas. It can also improve the flood detention efficiency of the raft foundations and resolve climate-induced water shortage or flooding in real-time, achieving smart flood control.
