TPMO will work with Taipei Shilin Community College and host “What’s Smart City? Experience the Cool Technology!” seminar on November, 1st, 2016 as an activity of “Week of Civic Literacy”. In this seminar, TPMO researchers will introduce the concept of smart city and share domestic and foreign smart city cases. To make deep impression for participants, TPMO invites industry professionals to share real cases of smart applications and allows participants to experience the technologies. TPMO wishes to deliver an idea that smart city is not just about cold technologies. It is connecting with citizens and makes our lives to be more convenient and comfortable.

The Project Manager of Shadowworks, Xu, Fan, will introduce AR and VR technologies and explain how AR & VR were adopted in entertainment, education, medical, and tourism. Especially in tourism, the recent released “Wei Shui Tour” APP of the company is an AR application that actively presents the historical story of Chiang, Wei Shui and Dadaocheng area, making the tour more interesting.

The General Manager of Vicon Healthcare International, Chen, Jing, will share a smart healthcare application. Alone with the advancement of technology and upgrade of medical industry, the company developed the autonomic nerve sensing technology can accurately measure the autonomic nervous conditions to help people health management. In the seminar, participants will be able to test the program and experience the convenience of healthcare.

Lastly, the Director of Alchemy Technology, Qiu, Li-Fen, will share application of EEG monitoring in education and sports training. Participants are also invited to experience the brainwave test so that they can practically use the intelligent technology and be more interested in the application.
