The "2021 Taipei Smart City Innovation Award" officially opened for submissions on November 4, 2021, and closed on December 31. After a four-month activity period, the projects underwent initial and final reviews by internal and external experts, evaluating them based on five criteria: innovation, completeness of trial planning, trial effectiveness, future viability, and completeness of data provision. As a result, five projects were selected as the special winners, and six projects received honorable mentions.

Among the special winners, the first is a mobile charging service provided by "Share Digital Services Co., Ltd.," recognized for its precise business model and convenient services, successfully expanding to various cities and counties. "Haoxin Co., Ltd." received recognition for its integration and smartification of card functions, adapting to the pandemic situation. "SmartGo Co., Ltd." was acknowledged for its motorcycle parking fee management mechanism, alleviating parking difficulties for motorcyclists and effectively managing the process. "Light Age Technology Co., Ltd." was highly praised for its creative AR application, which enhances foot traffic and distinctive features in commercial districts. Finally, "VisionTek Co., Ltd." achieved this prestigious honor through its intelligent structural monitoring technology and valuable application of monitoring data. The innovative solutions proposed by this year's winning projects focus on increasing convenience, user-friendliness, smartness, and safety, meeting the demands and expectations of the public.
